Welcome around the world in 45 minutes! Join Golbang on a journey and find out how heavy, swinging rhythms from Balochistan in Iran work together with goosebumping melodies from Persian and Afghanistan or Swedish melodic songs along with joyful songs from Argentina. The children and young people become involved by singing in different languages, they learn Kurdish ring dance and clap different rhythms. The songs are performed in Swedish, Persian, Balochi, afghan and Kurdish and in addition it is offered on Iranian folk dance and swirling Sufidans. In addition to a musical fireworks, the students also get a humorous insight into each other’s differences and similarities and thus how everything between us people is connected.

The four musicians are very experienced and versatile. All are educated at the Department of Folk Music at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. Rostam Mirlashari originally hails from the province of Balochistan, located in southeastern Iran and has been dubbed the “Prince of Balochi Music”. Mahsa Poorramazan is a professional dancer who specializes in Iranian folk dance and swirling Sufidans. The performance is adapted to each target group.
